4 Plus Intensive Courses
Our 4 Plus intensive courses give children focused, 1-2-1 preparation in the specific skills tested in 4 Plus assessments. Each course runs for one hour per day across a week, delivered by specialist teachers at our Dulwich and Hampstead centres. These courses are designed to accelerate learning in targeted areas, giving your child the edge they need at the most competitive schools. These bespoke courses are on of the reasons that our success rates are 70-80% for even the most academically selective schools.
Available Dates and Booking
These are intensive 1-2-1 sessions held every morning for one hour, Monday to Friday. You need to be enrolled in our standard 4 Plus programme to book. Please contact us to agree your preferred time slot before booking.

Phonics & Numeracy
4+ Intensive Course
Some of the most competitive schools, such as Highgate, Alleyn’s and Westminster, are building more academic testing into their 4 Plus assessments.
These are often profoundly misunderstood by parents who mistake counting for mathematics and did not learn phonics themselves.
Our intensive 1-2-1 course weeks teach sounds, blending and the mathematics you need to pass.
Find My Voice
4+ Intensive Course
Many children struggle to find their voice in the 4 Plus assessment. This means they are unable to get their brilliant ideas out or to explain their thinking on complex spatial or critical thinking tasks. As a result, otherwise talented children can fail.
We have a dedicated intensive 1-2-1 programme which helps children learn to be brave and find their voice.
Spatial & Critical Reasoning 4+ Course
Spatial reasoning and critical thinking are always tested in the 4 Plus assessment. These show underlying academic potential. Parents can struggle with how to teach critical thinking to a three year old.
We have a full pedagogy in this area and can equip your child with the skills in spatial reasoning and critical thinking which will help them pass the 4 Plus assessment but also set them on the road to later academic success.
Bilingualism
4+ Intensive Course
Bilingualism represents a great asset in later life, but it does create a range of challenges for the 4 Plus assessment. Children’s language acquisition in English can lag and they can have patchy language knowledge. We have extensive experience in helping bilingual children give of their best with a programme based on extensive language testing and a dedicated approach to accelerating language acquisition.
