2. Missing Lessons and Trial Sessions

2.1 If you are unable to attend a scheduled lesson due to illness, family commitments, or any other personal reasons, you are not entitled to a refund or a catch-up session. Missing a lesson for personal reasons means forfeiting that session, as dates are pre-scheduled.

2.2 Lessons are carefully planned in advance, with specific teachers and classrooms booked for each session. We rarely have alternative slots available to rearrange lessons. While we will assist where possible, please understand that this is unlikely.

2.3 In the unlikely event that Hermes Education cancels a lesson, you will be entitled to either a refund or a catch-up session.

2.4 We do not offer trial sessions for the 7 Plus Programme. Due to high demand and limited spaces, all available places are reserved on a termly basis and paid in full.

2.5 If your child is unwell and unable to attend, please request the lesson resources.  We will email them to you and you are encouraged to use the provided learning resources to review the week’s work with your child once they are better.

3. Teachers

3.1 We do not guarantee that a specific teacher will teach your child every week. A variety of experienced teachers may lead sessions throughout the term, all of whom are qualified and have completed our Twelve Step 7 Plus training programme.

3.2 Your child’s educational journey is managed centrally by the Director of Education, who oversees their progress and ensures continuity in their learning experience. The Director of Education works closely with all teachers to monitor and support your child’s development.

3.3 In the case of teacher illness, Hermes Education will endeavour to provide a suitable replacement. If no replacement is available, the session will be cancelled, and you will be offered a refund or a rescheduled session.

3.4 All teachers hold Enhanced DBS checks and have undergone safeguarding training.

3.5 Personal contact details of teachers will not be shared with parents, please do not ask.

4. Reporting and Feedback

4.1 At the end of each term, reports will be written by tutors and sent to parents within two weeks after the term ends.

4.2 If you would like more regular feedback, please arrive ten minutes before the end of your child’s session and speak with the teacher. Please do not run over into another child’s session or expect the teacher to stay late after the scheduled lesson.

4.3 Reports and official communications will be sent by the Director of Education.
